Perfect print results thanks to our free data check
Before printer and laser get going, the control monster takes a close look at your print files - completely free of charge.
Whether you order 100 cards or 10,000 - every printed card should look flawless! We check whether your file is ready for printing or engraving on PVC, wood, carbon, or metal.
Simply send us your logo, your print file, or your pixel creation for review:
You'll usually hear back within 1-2 business days - depending on how busy the monster cave is at the moment.
What do we check? (No crystal ball needed)
- Is the resolution sharp enough for printing?
- Do color mode and color values match your desired result?
- Do format and bleed fit the chosen card material?
- Are clean vector files available for laser engravings?
Fine print from the monster cave
As good as we are - we can't see the future. We therefore accept no liability for spelling mistakes, hidden defects, wrong settings, or blurry images caused by upscaling.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept complaints in these cases.
Print files
Important info about your files for printed cards
Format & bleed
We print our cards in the proven credit card format 85.6 × 54 mm (CR80) - you can find more formats on our card formats page.
You don't need to know the exact bleed values by heart - we set up your design correctly, and you receive a proof for approval beforehand.
Colors
Ideally, deliver your files in CMYK. You have Pantone specifications or only RGB values? No problem - we convert them appropriately and check back with you on critical shades.
Important: go for strong, clear areas. Very subtle gradients can look different on some materials than on screen - if in doubt, the control monster will advise you.
File format
Please send us your print files in vector format: we accept .pdf, .ai, and .eps. Laser engravings strictly require vector files. No vector file at hand? For a small fee, we're happy to help you create one.
The resolution should be at least 300 dpi. All fonts must be embedded.
